WHY USBodyPhit Fitness is about teaching Wellness Strategies.What is wellness and how can it be approached? Wellness was envisioned by its originators as a multidimensional concept incorporating the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of a human being. Wellness can be approached from at least two related perspectives. They are: 1. Prevention – the practice of behaviors that minimize the risk of lifestyle related diseases and disabilities. The role of our trainers is to help clients identify risk factors and enhance well being. 2. Holism – the integration of the mind, body and spirit for optimal functioning. Dr Halbert Dunn identified 5 dimensions of the total person: emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual and physical. When these aspects are fully developed and integrated, optimal well-being results. Our trainers are Christians. We are givers. Do not be like most people who mistakenly associate wellness with fitness, nutrition, or stress reduction, as it is much more. It is the self- empowered practice of prevention and full development of all the dimensions of life. Wellness is a process, a way of life, it is not a state that can be achieved all at once and for all. We at BodyPhit are teachers; let us help you discover yourself. Our MissionAt BodyPhit Fitness our belief is that Physical Wellness is a personal responsibility. Making the sound decision to live right encourages and improves cardiovascular capacity, flexibility, strength and encourages a constant education regarding the food we eat and dispels nutritional myths. The habits you develop and the decisions you will be asked to make will largely determine not only how many years you will live, but the quality of your life during those years. Our professional staff has been trained to teach you to travel the physical wellness path. Our trainers personally demonstrate the importance of striving to spend more time each week building endurance, flexibility and physical strength. At times your path may become narrow and seem treacherous however you will be made aware of the hazards around you, you will then begin to take safety precautions so that you may travel your path successfully. Your life is about CHOICE. Our mission is to teach you how to appreciate the relationship between sound nutrition and its profound effect on how well your body performs. The physical dimension of wellness provides almost immediate beneficial results physically, emotionally and psychologically. |
